I think there’s never a point where we really know for sure. Do you know what I mean? Like a point in which we really know why everything happens the way it does. I guess it’s just safe to say because it does. If you look for an explanation for everything, you drive yourself crazy. If you don’t look for an explanation for anything, you’re a coward. Is there somewhere in between?

It’s quiet. You’re alone. Not much to do but think. Think about what he said. Think about what she said. Think about what you said…about what you didn’t say. All the bad things come up first. All the good things go missing. Why? Who knows. That’s just the way things work. You beat yourself up for every time you didn’t do what you shoulda coulda woulda… But does that ease your state? No.

Listen to me. Sometimes it’s just okay. Things happen and it’s okay. Mistakes are made and it’s okay. You lose something and it’s okay. You shed a few tears it’s okay. You fall asleep screaming at the moon it’s okay. Tomorrow will be there and if it isn’t you’ll always have now. Now is a moment in which you can take ahold of. You have control of now. Now is yours to keep. You can do whatever you want. You are not powerless. You’re a fighter. You’ve made it this far. You’ve overcame things that you swore you couldn’t. Keep going.
